Lindsay maintains a studio of undergraduate and graduate oboists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, offering weekly lessons alongside studio class, chamber coaching, and reed-making instruction. Her teaching draws on her own performing career and her background in athletics, emphasizing disciplined practice habits, performance visualization, and mental preparation alongside tone, technique, and musicianship.
Students in her studio receive individualized feedback on repertoire, orchestral excerpts, and audition preparation, with regular performance opportunities through studio recitals, masterclasses, and departmental ensembles. Flowers also welcomes students for private lessons and reed-making clinics outside the university, and is available for masterclasses and residencies.
